During road show in New Delhi CM invites entrepreneurs to invest in Himachal Pradesh

Inviting the entrepreneurs of all leading industrial houses to invest in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the state government would provide them every possible support for setting up their units. He said that Himachal has edge over other states in terms of investment in various sectors as the state offers natural grandeur and resources, pollution-free environment and better law and order situation.

He was addressing the entrepreneurs at New Delhi on Wednesday during the road show organized to attract the industrial houses to participate in the Global Investors Meet being organized in the month of November. 

The Chief Minster said that the state government is focusing on various sectors for investment like tourism, adventure tourism, agriculture, horticulture, food processing, basic infrastructure, power generation and logistics etc. The state government has also changed its power policy to invite investment in the hydro power sector. Himachal is power selling state where the power tariff is lowest in the country. He invited the entrepreneurs to come forward for investing in adventure sports, water sports and hotel industry sectors which offers a lot of possibilities for investment.

 Jai Ram Thakur said that the state has set a target of attracting investment of Rs. 85,000 crores during the investors meet for which the road shows are being organized in various parts of the country and abroad as well. The road shows held recently in Germany, Netherland and Dubai had been very successful and the entrepreneurs of these nations have shown keen interest to invest in Himachal. The investors at Dubai expressed to invest in various sectors especially wellness centre resorts, naturopathy resorts, fruit and food processing units and real estate.

Industries Minister Bikram Singh said that the state has developed better infrastructure and there is a wide road network of national and state highways to connect all parts of the state. He added that the state government is making all efforts to make Himachal Pradesh as the best destination for the investors.

Chief Secretary B.K Agarwal and Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi also addressed the entrepreneurs.

Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Ram Subhag Singh and Principal Secretary, Urban Development Prabodh Saxena gave presentation on possibilities of investment in Himachal Pradesh.

Chairman and CEO of Sarval India Private Ltd. Rahul Chawdhry appreciated the efforts of the state government for attracting investment in Himachal Pradesh.
