Remained Chairman, Bar Association, Jogindernagar.
Elected to Legislative Assembly in 1977 ,1980, 1982, 1990, 1993 , 1998 and in
December, 2007.
Recipient of 'Vijaya Shree Award' presented by the International Friendship
Society of India, 1986.
Remained Minister of State, Panchayati Raj and Prison Welfare (1979-80),
Co-operation and Education (1982-83), Civil Supplies and Co-operation
(1984-85); Chairman, Public Accounts Committee (1990-91); Revenue Minister
(1993-98); Speaker, H.P. Legislative Assembly from March 30, 1998 to March
