Shri Kishan Kapoor, Industries Minister said here today that pace of industrialization was accelerated in last two and a half years in the State and added that more than 3157 industrial units worth investment of Rs. 12,585 crore were sanctioned during the same period under which more than one lakh youth would get employment avenues in the State.
Industries Minister said that a new industrial area at Dawni near Baddi in Solan district was also being developed by the State Government for which land had also already been acquired. He said that 68 plots had also been developed for setting up of various industrial units by the State Industrial Development Corporation and added that out of which 60 plots had been alloted to the interested investors and the entrepreneurs were also setting up their units in the alloted plots.
Shri Kapoor said that the process to transfer the acquired land by the Government at Davni to the State Industrial Development Corporation was in final stage on which plots would be developed and alloted soon to the entrepreneurs. He said that tenders for 23 plots were being invited in this area which also includes nine plots returned by the entrepreneurs. He said that some plots of the industrialists were returned to the Government, keeping in view, the technical difficulties faced by the entrepreneurs and added that these plots were now being alloted to other interested industrialists.
Industries Minister said that plots were being alloted to the investors as per their requirements so that small and large industrial units could be set up by them. He said that State Government was providing ample facilities to the industrialists in the State and added that big industrial houses were also coming up to make investment in industrial sector in the State. He said that pace of industrialisation was being accelerated in Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagar areas of Solan district.
